How Flare works, explained without the jargon.
Flare is a network built for data. Instead of copying information from other blockchains and hoping it stays accurate, Flare connects to them directly and proves what is true on demand.
The result is faster, cheaper apps for things like live prices, weather, sports results and market data — without needing a separate feed for every one of them.
Flare reads prices, weather and market information from other blockchains and serves it straight to apps, without copying everything first.
Before an app uses a piece of data, a group of independent validators agree on whether it is accurate. If they disagree, it is not released.
Most transactions confirm in a couple of seconds and cost a fraction of a cent, so apps stay quick even when lots of people use them.
Flare works with the Ethereum tools and wallets developers already use, so building on it feels familiar from the first day.
The complete documentation covers the data protocols, the validator set and how the network reaches agreement. It is free to read and open to everyone.
